Nashville Pussy at the Colorado Music Hall

Hey Pussy Fans, I have some news about Tracy leaving the band and some news on the new bass player Katie. I had the chance to talk to Ruyter after their show last night in Colorado Springs. It turns out that even the band themselves have no idea as to why Tracy quit the band. Ruyter said she sent the band an E-Mail simply stating that she quit. No explanation, no nothing. Ruyter says they were blown away cause as far as they knew things were going along great. She went on to tell me that they sent email after email to Tracy begging her to at least tell them why she wanted to quit, to say she was ok or something, anything to explain why but they only recieved one other email from her saying,” My decision is final.” Ruyter told me that they were truly upset over the whole deal not only cause she quit abrubtly, but because they truly love her and are concerned about her. So it seems only Tracy can answer why she left the band cause the rest of the band sure in the hell doesn’t know.

Ruyter asked me if I liked their “Katie” and I told her hell yes and asked her if the band liked her. Her response “oh fuck yeah!” She went on to tell me that they feel like things have actually worked out better for the band this way and described Katie as “a cross between Corey & Tracy, and after only her 3rd show with the band she is kicking ass.”

Last night’s show at the Colorado Music Hall did kick major ass. It seems like they get better with each show. The majority of the crowd last night were obviously there for The Reverend. Three songs into Nashville Pussys show, I had to go out into lobby for a second and there were a buttload of people out there just hangin around. I wanted to go up to each one of them and tell them they were missing one kick ass band. So I watched the crowd when I got back in the arena and they were just kinda standing there not sure how to react. By the middle of their set though, NP had obviously won them over as the crowd started moving and screaming. Katie gets better with each show. Ruyter rules over the stage every night, this night being no exception. Blaine is a BadMotherFucker period. Jeremy seems to effortlessly bash the drums like no other, proven by the way he splinters his drumsticks. I love it when Blaine talks between songs. Their new song,”Keep on Fuckin’, gets better every night. This tour is KICKING FUCKING ASS and I’m so fuckin’ happy to be here doing this. No matter how star struck I may get though, the only person that really gets me is Miss Chicky. She cuts me the deepest every night. I love you baby.

Nashville Pussy Rocking it HARD in Vail

It’s too easy to say Nashville Pussy played better tonight than last night. That in reality isn’t always the case…but I can truthfully say that tonight they were better than any time I have seen them live. They were louder, looser, and harder than not only the night before but anytime I have seen them up till now. Blaine sang clearer than I have heard, and they played in a manner that had all the “beautiful people” rocking hard as hell. The club was shaking, literally(more on that later) and they were not only soaking it in but pouring it out like no one in VAIL had ever seen or dreamed of. It’s time for some jeff pussy right now so more on the show tomorrow. This whole trip is SO MF AWESOME!. P.S. > we took a 24 second movie of the band tonight instead of pictures..lool for it tomorrow when we get up and around. And check out the top 5 bestest moments for me and misschicky of the show tomorrow too.

Katie Campbell, new bass player for Nashville Pussy, 8150 Club in Vail, Colorado

We’re Back! First off..the new bass player KICKS ass. Major ASS. She is super duper cute, sexy, rockin, rollin, mother, fuckin bass playin SHIZNIT. And…Nashville Pussy as a whole, is still the best of the best. We got 3 brand new songs tonight. “Say Something Nasty”, Drunk Daddy, & Keep on Fuckin” and they all rocked super hard. Highlight of the night(besides NP & seeing the new bass player), meeting KYLE & JAKE, two of the motherfuckinnest rock-n=rollinist cool assed motherfuckers I have ever met. More on them later. The REVEREND was unreal as well. More tomorrow when this EVAN wears off and I’m more in the mind of typing and not eating pussy……which i’m about to FEAST upon.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Just in case this BMF gets a little overly fucked up tonight and can’t give you a detailed account of tonights goings on never fear cause the ‘chic will give you a great account from a BMF’s veiwpoint. However, I was just informed that I will be posting my veiwpoint on the show whatever my condition. So there ya go. You’ll get two great accounts of tonight no matter how much I drink. Here we are in Vail..’bout to go see the goddamnedmotherfuckinist live band that has ever been. What more could one ask for?.Since I can remember…I have been a huge Rock & Roll Fan. Maybe cause I have absolutely NO musical talent I always admired those who did. I do know that it was always a wish of mine to be able to follow a band I liked around on tour. Well its actually happening now and I’m so fuckin’ revved up about I can hardly stand myself. And to top it all off, I’m here with the girl I love the mostest. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for that girl. Not be here in a more ways than you think. Thats another whole blog there though, lets just say even though it took me a while, I did in time get my exreme lifestyle the boot for good and got my head on straight, and I’m not sure that would of happened if not for Miss Chicky. She makes me complete. So here we are about to go see NASHVILLE PUSSY. One of the few bands I know of that I can see time and time again and still get just as excited about each time and more. Evan Williams and Coke for me tonight (on my 3rd), my baby, pictures, and motherfucking Nashville Pussy in VAIL..look for pics and updates tonight.

Nashville Pussy – Let Them Eat Pussy
 This CD has been a favorite if not my all time favorite since the time I got it. Loud, Sexy, & Rough, they exude what Rock & Roll was meant to sound and look like.
Sex Pistols – Never Mind the Bollocks
Johnny & the boys shook shit up on a new level that really hasn’t been met in terms of intense influence since. It rocks from start to end.
The Butthole Surfers – Locust Abortion Technician
The Freaks from Texas are legends along with The Reverend Horton Heat. The intro to Sweat Loaf(their version of ‘Sweet Leaf’) is worth the price of the CD alone.
Black Flag – Damaged
Any one of their early CD’s could of gone in this slot. This is Henry Rollins they way God intended when he made him. Brutally intense, in your face punk rock that matters.
New York Dolls
Their only US release up till recent best of crap. Super hetero guys, in lipstick and heels before Kiss thought about makeup. Sleazy, hard, and original garage rock at its best. Great from start to end.
Ted Nugent – Double Live Gonzo
The first time I heard Wango Tango, I then understood what Rock & Roll was all about. Ted is all about Sex, Sex and Rock & Roll the way it is supposed to be played.
Marilyn Manson – Smells Like Children
Just when he had the everyone freaked, he freaked em’ a step beyond. The cover of Rock & Roll Nigger alone is worth the price of this CD.
Nirvana – Hormoning
Their music affected the scene like the Sex Pistols did in their time. This one off EP is better than Nevermind by far and harder than anything else they did.
Janes Addiction – Nothings Shocking
Perry, Dave and the rest of the guys shocked everyone with amazing songs,
Nashville Pussy – High as Hell
NP can’t do wrong with me. If your truly a Rock & Roll Bad Mother Fucker than trust me on this and go get all you can of Nashville Pussy.
Iggy & The Stooges – Raw Power
The best way to describe this CD is this; RAW POWER.
Pussy Galore – Dial ‘M’ for Motherfucker
No bass player, abrasive sounds and words, and their answer to the Stones ‘Exile on Main Street’. An amazing CD.
The Rolling Stones – Exile on Main Street
Swagger, blues, and Rock & Roll defined this album that to me is the best Stones album of all time.
Aerosmith – Rocks
Cocaine, Cocaine, and more Cocaine plus great songs from beginning to end make this my favorite Aerosmith album of all time and then some.
Impotent Sea Snakes – Everything in Excess
(Masquerade Release)
Besides legendary live shows, this band plays a diverse brand of rock seldom seen or heard today. Get the Masquerade version of this release for a better track list.
Motley Crue – Shout at the Devil
When I was 15 or 16, I believed all the hype, which made them even better. They were all I ever had in my CD player for about a year straight. For that, they make this list.
The Flaming Lips – Oh My Gawd/With You(Tie)
Before they got overly experimental, they were just plain weird. But they played hard loud guitars and vocals that flowed together unlike anything you had heard before. Either one will make you happy in an acid kind of way.
The Cramps – Flamejob
Sleazy rock at its best. Makes you feel sexy and mean at the same time.
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Uplift Mojo Party Plan
Before they started writing pussy songs for the radio they actually played hard funk like punks and punk like funk in a way that made yer mojo uplift and make ya want to create a party plan. This is HARD funk at its finest.
The Pixies – Surfer Rosa
An elegant topless chic on the cover, but nothing elegant about the songs. Hard, gritty, and yet mellow, they exude punk attitude with this one. The song “Cactus” is worth the price of the CD alone. Amazing words!!
Suicidal Tendencies
Young Mike wrote some amazingly cool and shocking songs on this one. “Institutionalized” is the best teen angst anthem of all anthems put together.
Bad Brains – I against I
Rasta hard core unlike any. The intensity and speed of this CD is often copied but never like the original. Amazing vocals and amazing guitars and amazing songs and even more amazing intensity make this one of my all time faves.
Natural Born Killers – Soundtrack
Never thought I’d put a soundtrack on a list of must have music, but this one changed my mind. Put together by Perry of Janes Addiction, the songs meld together like they were wrote to be layed out this way.
We Will Fall – Tribute to Iggy Pop
I like tribute albums. This one stands out. Way way out. Joey Ramone doing “1969”, Kenny Kaye doing “We will fall”, this CD is a must for any Iggy fan or punk fan alike.

Let Them Eat Pussy

Years ago when I had just gotten my first computer and was surfing the net like a madman looking for music websites. I came across one that is now defunct, but at the time they had a contest to win a free CD. I signed up of course and 3 weeks later got an email telling me I had one a CD of my choice. I chose a CD by a band called “NASHVILLE PUSSY” for the simple reason I liked the cover of the CD and loved their name. When I recieved the CD a few weeks later it didn’t leave my CD Player for months. I searched the web for any info I could find on the band. I couldn’t get enough of them. I was lucky enough to get one of the first CD’s that came with the EP “LET THEM EAT PUSSY”. The cover alone on that one made it go into my top 10 list of all time greats. But the main CD was definatly my new number one pick of all time best CD’s and still is to this day. When all this happened I was living in Kansas. I’m now in Atlanta, the hometown of Nashville Pussy, and have seen them play live one time. That will soon change as of Feb. 14 when me and my girlfriend are traveling to Colorado to follow the band on all their dates there with the Reverend Horton Heat. We are looking forward to lots of Fried Chix & Coffee and lots of badass rock and roll.
