Another Sunday has arrived. At 4:20 PM today it will be 455 days since my baby left me at the lethal hand of cancer. Time goes fast but the thoughts and love for him never stop. I have no desire to ever forget or hope it passes.
But I’m still here and life has to be lived. I should be in Tybee Island right now with my fantastic girls but the trip had to be rescheduled due to dog sitter issues. Not happy about it right now and it’s caused a riff with some of my favorite folks but it will pass. I just don’t have energy for lame excuses right now and the trip will go on in September. Talk to Jim at Tybee Cottages if you are looking for a great friendly wonderful understanding person to book a vacation house in Tybee.
I was really looking forward to the trip as I had been down and out for about two weeks with the same old coughing issue that raises its ugly self every few months for the past five years. Glad it’s over because it sucks my energy out!
I have been into Big Brother 19 but it’s turned boring and I’m in the middle of a Game of Thrones marathon. I had to take a breather after watching the red wedding again(whew), but will start playing the 4th season in the background today while continuing to work on a media room plan for the new terrace suite. I really should be working on sorting through all these containers of life sitting around me but I just want to do what I want to do when I want to do it.
Just made a big pot of hamburger soup (via the Kitchen Magpie – alternative site too) that will slow cook for eight hours and will be ready just in time for supper. Jeff was the champion of soups but this one might turn out pretty nicely. I mostly miss his hamburgers. I miss his cooking period.
Time for Sunday morning news shows and coffee! Pretty tired of news media and Trump wrestling matches but it’s a Sunday ritual. I’d rather be swimming at the Coral Cottage in Tybee! It’s hot as hell in Atlanta but our ancient Rose of Sharon trees are still full of beautiful blooms. They make me feel very happy.
Also continuing to plan our Christmas trip to BetseyVilla in Mexico. Airfare looks like an expensive bitch right now, but we will not let that quell our excitement. I also watched Betsey Johnson’s reality show from 2013. She’s a marketing genius! Betsey is over the top and quite inspiring for 70+ years old! She proves you can never be too old to punk rock. ❤️️☠️❤️️
