Life has a way of leveling itself out. The world has been so bogged down with wars and busted economies. The news around us has been a drag for a long time. But Michael Jackson’s death will be a time marker. In the immediate, his death is sad and shocking and most people will have a thought about Michael Jackson in one regard or another. His death will take the focus off the absurd because his death is absurd. The spectacle will be crazy and stupid. How can we ever know what Michael Jackson would really have wanted? On one hand he thrived on the ridiculous and on the other hand he was a ridiculous recluse.
