Bleary Eyed Duty by Wovenhand
Easily the most attractive song on the album. With a couple of exceptions, this album is filled with songs that are thrust forward by heavy percussive qualities laid out over the bluegrass-tinged instrumentation. This song is no different, except it is the best example of how these elements can come together in such beauty, power and grace. The lyrics are just cryptic enough to show depth both on the subject of a loyalty to a lover or to the indwelling of the Spirit. Absolutely magnificent song and one that can be sung along with as well. It is our bleary eyed duty, after all.
