Chronic Tea officially started on October 24, 2002 using BLOGGER.
Chronic Tea started testing MetaPhilter 1.1 on May 1, 2003 and relaunched on October 1, 2003 using the MetaPhilter blog publishing tool. We were also using it on MusicFilter until about mid 2005 when it started having too many code glitches. But until that happened we loved MetaPhilter stating that MetaPhilter 1.41 Rocks. This was in the early time of blogging and lots of code guys were coding and some of the things failed and some remain big like WordPress.
{MetaPhilter (the old domain name appears to have lapsed) is written in PHP, open source, and the work of Jack Driscoll (MeFi userid unknown). There is a conversion tool for FreeFilter. Sites running MetaPhilter include GamesFilter, BookFilter, MusicFilter, LibertyFilter, GyrlFilter, MonkeyFilter, and some personal blogs.}
Chronic Tea first started testing WordPress in November 2005 and experimented with it until about April 2006 when something happened and the webhost suspended the account. I believe this is when Jeff moved a lot of our webhosting to his creepy friend who eventually lost everything on his server and several of our websites were lost. Thankfully in 2009 we had started playing with Tumblr and we were using it a lot for our web coloring. Chronic Tea would eventually return to WordPress and operates on it today.
So between June 2005 and April 2006 there does not appear to be a lot going on with Chronic Tea. Maybe I’ll find something in the archives.
